Personal Support Worker

Our Personal Support Worker (PSW) program can prepare students to manage the different responsibilities related to a client’s overall care, including help with bathing, dressing and nutrition as well as taking care of household tasks that clients can no longer manage on their own. Students will hone their interpersonal skills in order to best respond to a client’s emotional and physical needs, while also gaining knowledge on such crucial topics as dementia and other mental issues, personal hygiene assistance, meal preparation, relating to extended family members and much more.
To graduate from our Personal Support Worker program, students must pass the theory examination, which is administered by the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC). Upon passing, students will receive a certificate and pin from the NACC.
Vital coaching on important skills such as resume writing, job interview preparation and job search management gives graduates the strategies they need to pursue a new career with confidence.
